Fall leaves come down and remove the shade Fluttering, floating, down and away Pumpkins line up the streets Or worn by children from head to feet Candy corn and Reese’s No butterfingers or Hershey’s The sunset splashes paint across the globe Now the only light comes from the fire’s glow Darkness surrounded the children looking for treats The cool October wind pushing them towards sweets
